Malfunction NotesMalfunction and Diagnostics Diagnostic events are generated when information required to maintain compliance is inaccurate or missing. If the diagnostic event is not resolved within a specific time frame, it will result in a malfunction. If a Diagnostic event is generated, a warning is displayed: ELD Diagnostic Event - If the ELD continues to have diagnostic events, please talk with your dispatcher. Note the malfunction of the ELD and provide written notice of the malfunction to the motor carrier within 24 hours; 2.
