| Data Transfer Methods | Optimus Fleet ELD uses an electronic data transfer method to deliver driver logs, have the option to choose email or web service from the application. Web Service: Uses internal internet connection to upload data files to FMCSA servers, and then the FMCSA Server transfer to the roadside inspector. Email: Attaches ELD file to an email message sent directly from within the app to an FMCSA Specified Address, with the comment written by the driver. This email goes signed and encrypted as required by FMCSA. |
| Malfunction Notes | Registered malfunction events are inconsistencies found when Optimus Fleet ELD monitoring against FMCSA compliance requirements and are shown in the data files and visually indicated on the device screen in the notification toolbar. The Optimus Fleet ELD supports the following malfunctions: Engine Synchronization compliance: If the devices stops receiving data from the ECM it record a malfunction event with the code E . Power compliance: When the device detects a loss of power it record a malfunction event with the code P. Timing compliance: the device record a malfunction with the code T when it not able to sync with an UTC positioning. Positioning compliance: if the device is unable to get a valid position beyond the 5 miles from the last valid position measure it record a malfunction event with the code L. Data recording compliance: if the devices detects a failure on saving the events generated it record a malfunction code with the code R. Data transfer compliance: the device self test the data transfer mechanisms if that test fail it record a malfunction with the code S. |
